“WHAT KINDS OF COMMISSIONS DO YOU TAKE?”

I accept commissions for original paintings, small (ish) to wall size.

My work is intuitive gestural abstraction, and completed paintings are totally abstract reflections of mental and emotional states (find out more about my process here)

Due to the nature of my work, there are requests I can’t honor:

  • As each painting is unique to its process, I do not do reproductions of past work, or prints

Here are some requests I can:

  • Do you just like, hate the color yellow? No problem. I won’t even look at that tube of yellow paint while I work. We can stick to a set color palette.

  • Hoping to evoke a certain feeling? Perfect. We’ll talk about how I can do that for you and how that aligns wonderfully with my practice.

“WHAT’S THE PROCESS LIKE?”

After receiving your commission inquiry, I’ll reach out to set up an initial meeting. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for in a painting and if we’re a good fit.

If all goes well, there’s a contract to sign (so we’re all on the same page), an invoice to send, and a deposit to be paid (more on that below).

Then I hit the studio to create your one-of-a-kind original work of art!

When the piece is complete, we’ll have a meeting to make sure it’s everything you dreamed it would be.

You’ll receive a final invoice, and after the balance has been paid, your painting is sent on it’s way.

“HOW MUCH DOES A COMMISSION COST?”

Prices for commissions vary by size, with additional charges for framing or shipping.

In our initial meeting we’ll discuss size and price, and find the right fit for you.

PLEASE NOTE: All commissions require a non-refundable 30% deposit. This guarantees you my time and effort while ensuring they are given to serious inquiries only. The deposit is applied to the total cost of the piece, and you’ll pay the remaining balance before the painting is shipped.
